Physiotherapy for Yoga Practitioners

An exploration of movement — on and off the mat.

I’m a Physiotherapist supporting yoga practitioners who want to understand and develop their practice through a physiotherapy-informed approach.

It’s not about chasing the perfect pose.  It’s about giving yourself the space to explore how your body moves, deepen your understanding of your own mechanics, and engage in personalised strength and flexibility work.

For yoga practitioners who:

  • Struggle with flexibility or strength in specific asana

  • Want tools to explore postures more deeply from an anatomy perspective, including:

    • Forward folds

    • Wide-legged forward folds

    • Backbends

    • Hip opening

  •  It’s also suitable for newer practitioners from sports backgrounds – where tight hamstrings or limited flexibility make yoga feel especially demanding

  • Experience discomfort or movement restriction within their yoga practice.
👉 If you are experiencing joint pain or persistent pain during yoga practice, please choose a Physiotherapy session

  • Personalised exercise programme (Physio‑Yoga Session or Movement Analysis)

  • Movement analysis using joint‑angle tools (Movement Analysis, or follow‑up for clients who’ve completed it)

  • Review, support, and progression (Physio‑Yoga Session or 8‑Week Programme)

  • Tailored home exercise programmes with short video guidance

  • Access to discounted Yoga Conditioning Classes (for clients on the 8‑Week Programme)

  • Ongoing guidance and adaptation shaped by your progress

Final notes to support you in the process:

  • Show up with curiosity — you don’t need to be “ready” or “flexible enough”
  • Do the short home practices — regular practice between sessions is an important part of making progress
  • Share what you notice — all feedback is valuable, and helps shape your plan
